Stathis Mihos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1964. He studied Law at the University of Athens and later got his postgraduate degree (LL.M.) on Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He also holds a M.A. degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Hellenic Open University.
Stathis worked as a Lawyer in Law Firms and in recent years he manages in-house legal departments for the Greek affiliates of international companies: Lafarge, BP, Carrefour and Pfizer (since 2013). He is a former President and Board Member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (Europe), and is or has been active in many roles in various Non-governmental Organizations and Professional Associations.
Stathis has served in the Board of Directors of several companies and is the author of many articles and books, including «Monitoring of Internet Communications in the Workplace» (Sakkoulas Publications, Athens, 2007), «In-house Counsel» (Nomiki Vivliothiki Publications, Athens, 2013) and contributor to «The Future of the In-house Lawyer - The General Counsel Revolution» (The Law Society of England and Wales, 2016, Gen. Ed. Richard Tapp).
Stathis is the 2021 'General Commercial' category award winner in the annual European Counsel Awards.
